Securing a place at Belle Vue Court

If you or your loved one is interested in becoming a part of the community at Belle Vue Court care home, please contact us for an initial discussion. Our Matron will organise to visit your or your loved one’s home to meet and fully assess wishes and requirements.

After this initial meeting, our Matron will meet with our Registered Manager and clinical team to discuss and explore the care we can provide to enhance your or your loved one’s life. We are transparent about the services we offer and their associated costs, plus can be flexible to accommodate specific needs and offer immediate placements when required.

Paying for care

Depending on an individual’s situation, care can be paid for in several different ways. An assessment of needs and financial position will be undertaken.

In some circumstances the NHS or local authority will cover fees or these will need to be self-funded. In some instances, a combination of funding and personal payment may be feasible. Whatever the case, we will ensure you have the advice you need and provide guidance with securing funding.

Our Registered Manager is available to help you through this process. Advice is also available from the Alzheimer’s Society’s National Dementia Helpline on 0300 222 1122 or speak with your NHS Trust or local authority for further information.

Fees and funding

Belle Vue Court’s fees start from £2000-£2300 per week which excludes one-to-one and personal expenditure. This is reviewed yearly as part of the local authority’s annual care assessment.

Personal expenditure may include:

  • Hairdressing
  • Magazines and newspapers
  • Personal purchases including flowers and plants for individual rooms, stationery, confectionery, alcohol, certain snacks and toiletries
  • Clothing and footwear
  • Dry cleaning
  • Chiropody

Moving in

When joining our Belle Vue Court family we will support you with your move from home to home to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

Prior to your move, you will be invited – with your family – to visit us for a tour of our home, meet the other ladies and gentlemen who live with us and participate in one of our activities.

We will ensure your individual care plan, medication and other assistance is secure and ready for your moving in day, plus we will have completed a risk assessment. We will also take care of setting up any financial support and changing your GP, so you can focus on settling in.

Following your first two weeks with us, we will evaluate how you or your loved one has adapted to life at Belle Vue Court and check that needs are being met. We will efficiently make any changes, to ensure absolute comfort and happiness at our home.
